Audition

The Process

  1. Record a single audio-only file of your audition (a continuous take) to be included in your application. The audio file will be included in the application via a shareable link. Musicians must submit their audition as an audio-only file to ensure impartial selection. The audio file will be included in the application via a shareable link.
  2. Upload the audio file of your audition to the cloud file-sharing service of your choice
(Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) by 4/1/25 at 11:59pm MST. Ensure the sharing settings on the linked video are set to “public,” and that anyone who has the link can view the file. 4. Complete the application form below (embedded Google Form) by 4/1/2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
  5. Auditions will be reviewed with the utmost impartiality. Applicants' names and other identifiable information will be removed prior to distribution to the reviewers. Please make sure you do not speak in the recording.

Audition Tips and More Information

  • Allow adequate time to troubleshoot recording and uploading issues should they arise.
  • Listen to your recording before submitting it to ensure adequate volume and clarity.
  • The submitted recording should be one continuous take (as if this were a live audition). The recording should not be spliced together using multiple takes. Please play through the excerpts in the order they are listed within the part provided and leave a slight pause between each excerpt (if applicable). Then, play the solo of your choice.
  • Solos should be one minute in duration. You may play any one-minute continuous selection of any piece of your choice.
  • Submitted recordings must be unedited. Any evidence of sound manipulation, enhancements, or editing will result in the applicant's disqualification. Accompaniment is not allowed and audition materials need not be memorized.
  • To maintain anonymity, please do not speak during your recording.
